Something Borrowed, Something Blue...

I wanted to post a few more wedding shots that I think look just fabulous. Let me rephrase: the bride (Elizabeth) makes every shot look fabulouso. Just look at her hair!! That's her real hair color, my people.

Husband and Wife!

A close up of her beautiful dress. Oh, and I would like to make it known that Elizabeth pulled out some snazzy, sequin-covered dance shoes for the reception!

Glamour shots: SarahLiz Style

My beautiful friends let me use them as models for my work from time to time. I love to doll them up and pose them this way and that. My featured portrait model for the month is little Alyson. Alyson has been my dear friend since we were young... just the other day we laughed at some old photos we found, and let me assure you- they could ruin us for life. Why didn't anyone tell me my hair looked like a bowling ball was placed on the top of my head?! Thanks, Mom.

Sassy!

I adore this photograph. My brown eyed girl!

Kids & the Cam

Not to sound cliche, but why not? Kids are so darn cute! Kids are so incredibly fun for me to photograph. I always snap away just filling my camera with frames upon frames of goofballs and dimples. I was priveledged to photograph a family recently that is A.) hilarious B.) amazing cooks (made that dip last night!)and C.) Extremely photogenic. Some of my favorites are of the kids, so please enjoy a teaser and if you want more info the rest of the photos are at http://www.sarahlizphotography.smugmug.com/

Samantha and Lucas. Samantha wants to be an interior designer and Lucas IS a professional hockey player, he literally sleeps in his mask and gloves. Oh, and did I mention Samantha is 8 going on 26.

A wedding snapshot

I get the chills at weddings at least 20 times during the ceremony. I can hardly handle the look on the grooms face as his bride walks towards him, the crying mothers, the kiss on the cheek from daddy and the simple "I do's" that make a Mr. and Mrs. in the snap of a finger! I am priveledeged to be able to photograph such simple and sweet moments and hope to share with you a small snapshot of that.

The beautiful Jennifer on her wedding day! Her dress was elegant, as was she.

One of my brides (Elizabeth) with her cute friends just minutes before the ceremony began..

I loved her colors, can't go wrong with brown and pink during the summer!

I LOVE this shot of the blushing bride. Glancing one last time down the hall as she approaches the doors to the chapel.

Priscilla and Jimmie

Priscilla wore stilettos to the shoot. And by that I mean: Priscilla wore stilettos in the mud, in a tree and trudging through a forest. No wonder she looks like a rock star in the engagement photos!! Jimmie's a lucky one. Although Jimmie's a catch too- he used their dogs Linus and Lucy in their engagement! Too cute. Enjoy some snapshots of their engagement! It was so hard to pick favorites from their session, but here they are ...

I was so glad to be able to be photographing such a sweet couple...

Just look at those beautiful heels!

Meredith & Ryan

Recently, I was able to shoot a beautiful couple whom I've had the pleasure to know for quite some time. Well, half of them. I've known the groom-to-be, Ryan, since I was a tiny little 12 year old girly thing with braided hair. Ryan met Meredith through... drum roll... his mom! Of course, Meredith blew everyone out of the water! They are the goofiest, cutest, southern-ist couple that you would simply LOVE! I'm excited to share some photographs from their engagement session:

One of my very favorites! How cute are they?

Laughing... it's what they do!

Photo. Journal. Photojournalism.

Behind every photo there is a story. I just can't imagine looking at a great shot and not thinking about the fairytale behind it. There are so many simple shots that scream "Hello!! I'm gorgeous! I'm a supermodel and wearing sneakers!" I hope to share with you the fabulous-ness that comes with being a photographer and the marvelous people that I get to photograph. If you would like to schedule a session or have any questions just email me at SarahLizPhotography@gmail.com and I'll be glad to work with you!
